Each year, the Foundation sponsors four students to attend the nationally-recognized HOBY conference. Founded in 1958, HOBY’s mission is to inspire and develop our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation.

Information on how to apply is distributed to sophomore students each year. Students submit their application and a written essay. A selection committee comprised of Forest City high school teachers and the Foundation director review the applications and select four students to attend.

Students can direct any questions to Derek Ziesmer, Forest City High School program sponsor.

My years at HOBY as an ambassador and as a Junior Facilitator both inspired and empowered me to be a leader wherever life takes me. Best of all, I made lasting friendships with people who also seek to change the world! HOBY is the place to find leaders of the future.
